Ordered as a Christmas gift for my husband. The Kraken Cultist Book Nook is beautiful, if the old god will permit me to call him beautiful. The finish is exactly as pictured. Husband commented that it looks like velvet. I ordered for Christmas forgetting the postal strike that was wrapping up around that time. 🤦🏻‍♀️Only actual shipment issues I had once it shipped was due to the carrier (they said they hadn't picked it up). I reached out to the owner and he was great. He said he was going to contact the carrier to find out was what going on, and would send me a replacement. This is a great piece to be added to my husband's bookshelves.
